At Prospect Community Day, chronic absenteeism has risen 140% over the 5-year window — from 35.3% in 2017 to 84.6% in 2024. Despite that, the gap vs US average of ~28% has actually widened — from 7.3% above in 2017 to 56.6% above in 2024.
