At EASTSIDE ELEMENTARY, chronic absenteeism has risen 32% over the 5-year window — from 33.7% in 2015 to 44.5% in 2020. Despite that, the gap vs US average of ~28% has actually widened — from 5.7% above in 2015 to 16.5% above in 2020.
