At EAST ELEMENTARY, chronic absenteeism has risen 26% over the 5-year window — from 37.5% in 2015 to 47.3% in 2020. Despite that, the gap vs US average of ~28% has actually widened — from 9.5% above in 2015 to 19.3% above in 2020.
